The woman in the painting is sitting on the top of the famous and dangerous Eiger. She feels the absolute freedom and enjoys the magic moment.
It was a lot of fun to paint a scenery of my home country. The painting symbolizes for me freedom, purity, lust for life, energy, power, aesthetics and beauty. I wanted to depict the expression and the face of the woman as realistically as possible. Nevertheless, it should still correspond to the rest of the concept. I am very satisfied with the result. Until now it is one of my favourite pictures, there is something touching about it.
